Police state tactics used at a college block party? Like really?

Mass Arrests, Tear Gas, Sound Weapons used Against WIU (Western Illinois University) Students occurred this weekend at their annual block party. Please keep in mind that this was a non violent, yearly function in an off campus neighborhood in proximity to  the campus I assume. Non the less, the police state tactics were completely uncalled for….no like really, everybody was straight chillin’. Again, no violent, or illegal activities were taking place when four different law enforcement agencies just popped up and started going ham. I’m a college student myself, so this really hit home for me. See for yourself:
